Growing wedding grass for Amy Dickinson and Bruno Schickel's wedding

It all starts with an idea and a drawing

A future farmer gets his start

Filling "Maryhill Clayworks" bowls with dirt

Planting the grass seed on good soil

The look of satisfaction for a job well done

Cut Your Grass

Cut the grass after 2 1/2 weeks so that it grows thick and strong
Give it lots of sun and water

Grass, Sunflowers and Zinnias meet

Fill the bowl with water so it acts as an oasis
Make holes in the grass with a chopstick for the Zinnias
Waiting for the tablecloths

Kind friends spend hours helping me arrange the flowers

Welcome

jacques and niece
Welcome to my Blog & Photo. I hope you enjoy seeing a bit of the behind the scene at Maryhill Clayworks and the homestead. I live on our farm among the rolling green fields of corn and hay. My family is large, diverse and patient with my use of them on my blog.
Peace and Love, Jacques

My sister Cecilia gets the kids started. She is using Maryhill Clayworks "Ice cream Bowls" for the dye and an enamel pitcher I designed for Mackenzie-Childs for water.
